In 1990, Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop was established by two independent owners. The Johnson family owned a Ben Franklin store in Woodburn, Oregon for 13 years. Ferguson Merchandising owned a Ben Franklin store in Redmond, Washington for 30 years. In 1994, the Johnson family bought Ferguson Merchandising and sold the store in Woodburn to set up residency here in Springfield.

The Johnson family has owned Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop since the doors first opened, and since day one, we have prided ourselves on quality and customer service. From the beginning, we wanted to make sure we were a unique kind of craft store and we have taken pleasure in becoming a creative destination in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer an average of 20-30 classes every month and through the year, we host three to four large events that take place after store hours.

Over the years, we have been committed to serving the Eugene and Springfield communities by donating to numerous area schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations. We are always ready to help with any special event your organization might be planning. Please contact us for more information. Additionally, to help teachers in the community we accept purchase orders and provide a 10% discount to all teachers with a valid teacher ID. Donations are always welcome and are greatly appreciated.

We are one of the founding members of a 60-store buying group. Being part of this group allows us to specialize in new and different creative items designed to inspire you to create that special touch in your own home. Likewise, twice a year, our group sends a buying team to Asia to travel throughout the country selecting merchandise exclusive to our customers, something that is quite unique in the craft industry.
